How to Prevent Coronavirus With a Fabric Case

How contagious is Coronavirus (SARS)? The answer – not very! Though the term is catchy, it’s an important question to ask. If you’re outside in a crowded public area where you’ll come into contact with other people, yes, you still ought to wear a face mask. Face masks will help contain airborne respiratory droplets, which can pass on SARS-CoV-2, also the causative Coronavirus, to those who don’t know that they possess the virus. On top of this, many other common illnesses such as influenza and pneumonia can be spread through the air and the hands.

When buying your face or nasal protection, it’s important to get the highest level of protection you can afford. It’s good advice then to invest in a good respirator as well. The protection level of your respirator depends upon how many times you intend to use it; the more frequently, the higher the level of protection needed. If you’re not intending to wear your respirator whilst outdoors then you may want to invest in some n95 masks.

N95 masks are specifically designed to prevent the entry of infectious particles. These particles, usually in the form of fine dust, would otherwise enter the nose and throat and be inhaled. Respirators work by preventing these small dust particles from entering the respiratory system directly. Because these particles are difficult to see, they tend to build up in the surface of the nose and throat and cause the production of mucus, which is a clear indicator of an infection. Therefore, it is advisable to use a face mask whilst outdoors in places where there is the risk of contamination but you should still wear your respirator when you’re indoors.

Some of the ways in which you can reduce the threat posed by this virus are by avoiding direct contact with any infected areas. For example, if you have cuts or scrapes in these areas, it’s advisable to apply antiseptic before going to bed as this will reduce the risks of contamination occurring. However, whilst there are plenty of medical treatments to deal with complications brought about by the coronavirus, it’s also worth remembering that prevention is always better than cure. So, if you spend time playing sports or doing other activities that involve touching people’s skin (such as grooming in salons), make sure you wash your hands regularly with soap and water and use a hand sanitizer to eliminate any risk.

When you do find yourself touching an affected area, take a moment to wash your hands. Use running water for best effect but don’t splash too vigorously as you can actually cause the condition to worsen. Once you’ve washed your hands, carefully peel back any fingers that were exposed as much of the bacteria may still be present on your skin. Washing your hands again with soap and water will help to reduce the levels of bacteria left behind, but a hand sanitizer will be necessary if you want to guarantee that no traces of the illness are left behind.

The reason this infection is particularly insidious is that the incubation period is so short. Once you have touched an area which has been contaminated with germs, this is only half the battle. Now you have to actually wait around an hour before you feel comfortable enough to go to the toilet. This is because it takes an hour for the bacteria to become active and begin to replicate. If you do find yourself touching an area and then touch your mouth within the next five minutes, you’ve just had sex with an infected person.

To stop this from happening, a simple way to combat the problem is by using hand sanitizer and making your own homemade masks. There are plenty of recipes available on the internet which advise you to mix a few drops of it into a warm bottle of hand sanitizer or even place a few drops into a small bottle of hot tap water and add a little bit of rubbing alcohol onto the particles to sterilize them. To make your own mask, simply soak a piece of gauze in the solution and then place the gauze over your hands and leave it there for around 20 seconds before washing them. Although these homemade masks are easy to make, it is advisable to use a good quality mask made by professionals so that you can be sure that you aren’t infecting yourself.

Although this is an effective way of preventing the illness, it is not a permanent cure. Although you may find that you don’t get sick as often, the fact that you won’t be able to touch any of the surfaces where the illness was caught means that you will most likely come into contact with the virus once more. If you do come into contact with the fabric of the mask, or the bacteria that was on the surface, then you could end up contracting it again. So while the prevention is effective, it isn’t a cure so you would need to wash your hands thoroughly after using a mask.
